On August 26, 2022 Govt. T. Romana inaugurated the Adopted Village project at YMA Inpui Sialsuk. Sialsuk village was chosen as an Adopted Village by the college after it was selected by the Research, Innovations & Extension Cell, GTRC. The inauguration program was organized by the Cell. Prof. Malsawmliana, Chairman of the cell chaired the session and Dr. Laltanpuii Rokhum, Secretary of the Cell gave the technical report on how the project site had been selected and the objectives of the study. The Adopted Village Project was inaugurated by Prof. F. Lalnunmawia, MLA & Vice Chairman of Horticulture Development Board.
Dr.Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, Principal, GTRC gave a speech honouring Sialsuk Village, outlined the brief history and objectives of the college. Mr. R. Lalruatkima, VCP of Sialsuk village also delivered a short speech and thanked the college for choosing Sialsuk as an Adopted Village. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by the Principal on behalf of the College and VCP on behalf of the village. On this occasion the leader of all NGOs gave a short speech appreciating the event and the project.
Taking the opportunity, different kinds of books was handed over to the YMA for their library. Then the programme was concluded with vote of thanks from Mrs. Dorothy Zonunsangi, GTRC. Earlier, Tachhip Village was selected as an Adopted Village in which the findings of the study had been published. The current project will be for two years and each department of the college will write a research paper based on their empirical study on the village.
On August 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Drug Free India) - Pledge Taking Ceremony was organized in the campus in which both the Students and the staffs had taken a pledge to make India drug free country. Soon after the pledge was taken Dr. Lalchhuanmawii, Senior Most Faculty, unfurled the National Flag, followed by singing of the National Anthem. Mr. C. Laldinsanga Teacher i/c of the programme conducted the ceremonial function and Mrs. Catherine Lalhruaitluangi led the Pledge taking. Govt. T. Romana College is a drug free campus.
Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment which is the Nodal Ministry for Drug Demand Reduction has formulated and launched Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) on 15th August 2020, in 272 Districts across 32 State/Union Territories identified as most vulnerable in terms of usage of drugs in the country. These vulnerable districts were identified on the basis of findings from the Comprehensive National Survey and the inputs provided by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). (https://nmba.dosje.gov.in/)
On August 9, 2022, Anti-Ragging Cell of Govt. T. Romana College organized campaign against ragging among the hostellers of the College Girl’s Hostel. In the programme, campaign speech was delivered by Mrs. Lalngaihawmi Khiangte, Secretary of the Cell. Two faculty members of the Cell, Mrs. Baby Lalremsiami and Mr. Vanlalfinga were also presented in the program and interaction session was held with the hostellers. At present, there are twenty four (24) hostellers in the Girl’s Hostel and in the admission process preference has been given to the weaker section of the society and the rural areas.
On August 8, 2022 the team of Research, Innovations and Extension Cell of Govt. T. Romana College had visited Sialsuk village and made a verbal agreement with the Village Council for adoption of their village by the College. The college Cell had been led by Prof. Malsawmliana, Chairman of the Cell along with Dr. Benjamin Ralte, Dr. Lalchhuanmawia, Mrs. Dorothy Zonunsangi and Dr. Vanlalchami. The Village Council of Sialsuk Village was led by Mr. R. Lalruatkima, Village Council President. After a thorough discussion between the two teams, it was tentatively agreed that the formal inaugural function of ‘Adopted Village’ will be organized on August 26, 2022 at the village. The Research Cell in its meeting on May 17, 2022 had resolved Sialsuk village as study area for adopted village project.
The Department of Public Administration. Government T.Romana college observed 'World Social Work Day' on 16th March 2026, 2:00 pm at GTRC Public Administration Department Room. The resource person was Dr. Lalchhuanmawii, Associate Professor, Govt. T. Romana College. The programme was hosted by Dr.Sakhawliana, Faculty in the department of Public Administration.

The college Felicitation committee organised a programme on 11.03.2026 to felicitate students who did well in the the 2025 0dd Semester Under graduate Examination.
The Women Cell/ Internal Complaint cell organised a seminar/ workshop on the same day and the next ie. 12.03.2026 on the topic 'Gender Equity and Sensitisation' under the PM - USHA scheme. The resource persons who spoke on the topic were Dr.Lalchhuanmawii and Mrs. Ramdinliani

On 18th March, 2026, the NSS and NCC Unit of Govt. T. Romana College and Army Recruiting Agency, Aizawl organised Career Guidance for Indian Army at RUSA Hall of Govt T. Romana college, Aizawl.

The college and the Yummy food Ltd. jointly organised Dancing, Eating and Cos play Competition in the college. Mika of 6th Semester won the Dance Battle. Cos play competition was won by Philip Lalremtluanga & Ruthi Ramengmawii

On the occasion of World Poetry Day, the Department of English, in collaboration with the Literature Club, organised a poetry-writing competition. The results of the competition were declared on 20th March 2026. The results are as follows:
First Prize: Ruthi Ramengmawii, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics. Second Prize: Gaby Zobiakhlui Sailo, 6th Semester, Department of Sociology. Third Prize: H. Lallawmawmi, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics

A Two Days Seminar on Unity and Integrity through Culture was organised by IQAC of the college under the PM-USHA scheme where the key note Speaker was Mr.PC Zosangliana and the members of the NGO of Republic Vengthlang actively participated in it. Republic Veng the locality in which the college is located.The Thingsiri Cultural club of the college also presented a practical session of cultural Dances of the state
