
Mrs Jasmine Lalremmawii, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Administration, Govt. T. Romana College was recently awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) by Mizoram University. An official notification was issued by the Controller of Examination, Mizoram University declaring her result. Dr Jasmine Lalremmawii worked under the Supervision of Prof. Strinibas Pathy, Department of Public Administration, Mizoram University. Her Thesis is titled ‘Role of Women in the Socio-Economic Development in Mizoram.’
Recent Activities of the NSS:
1. Four (5) NSS volunteers participated in Winter Adventure Camp held at Solang -Manali, Himachal Pradesh during January 26, 2014 – February 4, 2014.
2. Construction of Public Water Shed at Lailak, Aizawl District during February 6-8, 2014.
3. Awareness Campaign on HIV/AIDS and construction of public Water shed at Lailak, Aizawl District during February 6-8, 2014.


Two days National Seminar on ‘Narrativising Cultures of North East India : Indigenous to Contemporary’ was jointly organised by Govt. T. Romana College and Mizoram English Literary Society (MIELS), Aizawl during September 3-4, 2013 at Aizawl. The Seminar was sponsored by UGC, New Delhi. The Inaugural function held at I&PR Auditorium, Aizawl was graced by Chief Guest Mr PC Zoram Sangliana, Minister, Art & Culture Department. Prof Margaret Ch.Zama, Department of English, Mizoram University delivered key-note address in the inaugural session. During the two days session, the following papers were presented –

The College Internal Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC) and MCTA Branch jointly organized recently College Level Seminar as the followings :
1. Seminar on ‘Social change in Mizo Society’ conducted by Department of Sociology on August 2, 2013 at the College. The paper presented in the seminar are :

The Department of Public Administration. Government T.Romana college observed 'World Social Work Day' on 16th March 2026, 2:00 pm at GTRC Public Administration Department Room. The resource person was Dr. Lalchhuanmawii, Associate Professor, Govt. T. Romana College. The programme was hosted by Dr.Sakhawliana, Faculty in the department of Public Administration.

The college Felicitation committee organised a programme on 11.03.2026 to felicitate students who did well in the the 2025 0dd Semester Under graduate Examination.
The Women Cell/ Internal Complaint cell organised a seminar/ workshop on the same day and the next ie. 12.03.2026 on the topic 'Gender Equity and Sensitisation' under the PM - USHA scheme. The resource persons who spoke on the topic were Dr.Lalchhuanmawii and Mrs. Ramdinliani

On 18th March, 2026, the NSS and NCC Unit of Govt. T. Romana College and Army Recruiting Agency, Aizawl organised Career Guidance for Indian Army at RUSA Hall of Govt T. Romana college, Aizawl.

The college and the Yummy food Ltd. jointly organised Dancing, Eating and Cos play Competition in the college. Mika of 6th Semester won the Dance Battle. Cos play competition was won by Philip Lalremtluanga & Ruthi Ramengmawii

On the occasion of World Poetry Day, the Department of English, in collaboration with the Literature Club, organised a poetry-writing competition. The results of the competition were declared on 20th March 2026. The results are as follows:
First Prize: Ruthi Ramengmawii, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics. Second Prize: Gaby Zobiakhlui Sailo, 6th Semester, Department of Sociology. Third Prize: H. Lallawmawmi, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics

A Two Days Seminar on Unity and Integrity through Culture was organised by IQAC of the college under the PM-USHA scheme where the key note Speaker was Mr.PC Zosangliana and the members of the NGO of Republic Vengthlang actively participated in it. Republic Veng the locality in which the college is located.The Thingsiri Cultural club of the college also presented a practical session of cultural Dances of the state
