
Students Evangelical Union of Govt. T. Romana College participated in the 15th Spiritual Convention of the Mizoram Students Evangelical Union (MSEU) during 20 - 22 September, 2024. The Convention was organized at the Local Baptist Church, Chanmari, Lungei which is the second capital of Mizoram. The MSEU have 21 Units from different colleges and Higher Secondary Schools. More than 1000 delegates attended the Convention this year. Every year, students of Govt. T. Romana College used to participate in the MSEU Conventions, this year 64 students and 2 faculty members attended the Programme. The College EU presents a beautiful choir on Sunday afternoon in the programme chaired by Mr. Baby Lalramsiami HOD, Education Dept. In the Fellwoship Programme on 22nd September, the College EU performed Live Musical Instrument Play. Apart from this, on 22nd September Dr. Lalchhuanmawii HOD, Public Administration led the Initiation Service in Night Service. The Convention ended with a success as students attending the programme were uplifted morally and spiritually. The students also gained by meeting students of different colleges which would greatly enhance their communication skill and such exposure would also be useful in their personal development.


Fifth semester students of the Department of Education on 27th September 2024 visited three pre-schools and five Anganwadi centres in Aizawl city in relation to their course Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE). Students were divided into eight groups, consisting six members in each group and they were assigned to visit various ECCE centres in Aizawl city. The students administered the questionnaire consisting general information of the institution developed by the department. The students found it very enriching to see those centres on the spot. The ECCE centres visited are as follows:
1. Greenhill Montessori School, Saron veng, Aizawl.
2. Angela Academy, Bethlehem vengthleng, Aizawl.
3. Little Steps Pre-school, Republic Veng, Aizawl.
4. Republic Anganwadi centre III, Aizawl.
5. Tlangnuam Anganwadi centre, Aizawl.
6. Saron veng Anganwadi centre, Aizawl.
7. ITI Anganwadi centre III, Aizawl.
8. New Secretariat Complex Anganwadi centre, Aizawl.

The College observed World Old Age Day by presenting warm shawls and socks to the 6 nonagenarian around the college in the campus in the college locality (ie. Republic vengthlang). An awareness session on caring for the Aged was carried out by the Deptt. of Sociology where students signed pledge to support the aged whenever needed.

In compliance to the Govt Orders to Observe Mimkut on 30.9.2024. the faculty and staff of the college wore traditional attire to the college and shared with eachother the traditional Mizo delicacy 'chhangban' to revive the spirit of sharing and selflessness.

The Department of Public Administration. Government T.Romana college observed 'World Social Work Day' on 16th March 2026, 2:00 pm at GTRC Public Administration Department Room. The resource person was Dr. Lalchhuanmawii, Associate Professor, Govt. T. Romana College. The programme was hosted by Dr.Sakhawliana, Faculty in the department of Public Administration.

The college Felicitation committee organised a programme on 11.03.2026 to felicitate students who did well in the the 2025 0dd Semester Under graduate Examination.
The Women Cell/ Internal Complaint cell organised a seminar/ workshop on the same day and the next ie. 12.03.2026 on the topic 'Gender Equity and Sensitisation' under the PM - USHA scheme. The resource persons who spoke on the topic were Dr.Lalchhuanmawii and Mrs. Ramdinliani

On 18th March, 2026, the NSS and NCC Unit of Govt. T. Romana College and Army Recruiting Agency, Aizawl organised Career Guidance for Indian Army at RUSA Hall of Govt T. Romana college, Aizawl.

The college and the Yummy food Ltd. jointly organised Dancing, Eating and Cos play Competition in the college. Mika of 6th Semester won the Dance Battle. Cos play competition was won by Philip Lalremtluanga & Ruthi Ramengmawii

On the occasion of World Poetry Day, the Department of English, in collaboration with the Literature Club, organised a poetry-writing competition. The results of the competition were declared on 20th March 2026. The results are as follows:
First Prize: Ruthi Ramengmawii, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics. Second Prize: Gaby Zobiakhlui Sailo, 6th Semester, Department of Sociology. Third Prize: H. Lallawmawmi, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics

A Two Days Seminar on Unity and Integrity through Culture was organised by IQAC of the college under the PM-USHA scheme where the key note Speaker was Mr.PC Zosangliana and the members of the NGO of Republic Vengthlang actively participated in it. Republic Veng the locality in which the college is located.The Thingsiri Cultural club of the college also presented a practical session of cultural Dances of the state
