The Students' Union successfully organised Freshers' Social Programme on June 21, 2013 (Friday) at Vanapa Hall, Aizawl. Pu Lalrinmawia Ralte, MLA & Parliamentary Secretary, graced the function as chief guest and released the 14th Annual College Magazine 'RALTIANG' in the first session. The Programme was chaired by Mr Lalbiakmawia, Vice President, Students' Union and the General Secretary Mr K.Lalhmahruaia gave the annual report of the Union. The Chief Guest, in his speech, encouraged the students to be dedicated in their studies and to read more books. He also advised them to refrain from spending too much time in IT related activities like sending sms and social networking sites. In another speech delivered by the College Principal, the students were inspired to strive for higher achievements so that they would survive in this highly competitive world.
Observation of Green Mizoram Day, 2013:
The College NSS Unit successfully observed ‘Green Mizoram Day’ on June 11, 2013 at the NSS Plantation Site, Sihhmui. The volunteers planted about 50 plants and renovated fencing of the existing plants. About 23 Volunteers and 4 Programme Officers attended the programme.
Mega Camp, 2013:
Three Volunteers from College NSS Unit along with 9 volunteers from different Unit left Aizawl on June 23, 2013 for NSS Mega Camp, 2013 to be held at Bangalore during June 29- July 10, 2013. The names of the volunteers representing our College are –

College Level Seminar on ‘Aspects of Mizo Culture and Language in Literature’ Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Mizoram College Teacher’s Association (MCTA) Government T. Romana College jointly organised One Day College Level Seminar on ‘Aspects of Mizo Culture and Language in Literature’ on August 14, 2012 at the College campus. The Seminar was chaired by Ms Lalrinmawii Tochhawng, Assistant Professor, English Department in which the following faculty members of the same department presented papers.
The Department of Public Administration successfully organized Two Day National Seminar on ‘Urban Administration and People’s Participation in North East India’ in collaboration with Indian Institute of Public Administration(IIPA), Mizoram Regional Branch at I&PR Auditorium, Aizawl during May 30-31,2012. The Seminar was funded by University Grants Commission(UGC), New Delhi.
Mrs Esther Lalruatkimi, IRS, Secretary to the Government of Mizoram, H&TE deliver her inaugural address as a Chief Guest at the Inaugural Function. Prof. Srinibas Pathi, Department of Public Administration, Mizoram University & Honorary Secretary, IIPA, Mizoram Regional Branch delivered his Key Note Address. 6th semester students of the department of Public Administration, Govt T.Romana College attended training on Suntainable Life Skill: Rural Development Schemes at the SIRD&PR Auditorium on 4th April, 2025.
Following up of the Memorandum of Understading on Faculty and Students Exchange programme signed between Department of Public Adminstration Govt. T. Romana College and Department of Public Administration Pachhunga University College, a 3rd 'Faculty and Student Exchange Programme' was successfully organised on the 28th March 2025.
The Department of English, Govt. T. Romana College organised ‘Awareness on NEP 2020 for 4th and 6th Semester Parents’ on April 9, 2025. The programme was attended by 42 parents of the 2nd and 4th Semesters NEP students. The primary objective of the programme was to familiarise parents of the NEP students with the key aspects of the National Education Policy 2020, along with the new subject combinations offered under NEP.
The Awareness programme commenced at 1:00 pm. The Chairperson, Dr. Lalrinmawii Tochhawng, Associate Professor, Department of English started the programme with an introduction of the faculty members in the Department of English. She welcomed parents from different corners of Mizoram and further emphasised the importance of understanding the NEP 2020 and its impact on higher education.
Govt. T. Romana College Thingsiri Cultural club put a spectacular perfornance of Mizo Cultural Dance at the Grand Octave 2025 at Jharkand on 25.03.2025.
The Thingsiri cultural club of the college were invited to perform at the National Tribal Youth Festival 2025 organised by the Social welfare Department, Government of Mizoram at Kelsih on 10.4.2025 where their performance was highly appreciated.
On 26th March, 2025 two faculty members Dr. Lalchhuanmawii and Dr. Lalngaihawmi participated in Awareness Programme on Sexual Harassment of Women at Work-place Act 2013 at Dawrpui Multipurpose Centre, Aizawl.
