The Department of ICT, Govt. of Mizoram handed over 10 desktop computers to Govt. T. Romana College on 7th March, 2022. A short function, chaired by Dr. Lalchhuanmawia, chairman EK Cell, Govt. T. Romana College, was held in NEILIT Computer Learning Centre in the College. The function was graced by Pu Lalramsanga Sailo, IRS, Secretary ICT, Govt. of Mizoram as chief guest. The Principal Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki thanked the Department of ICT and assured the Department that the College will make good use of these computers.
Three-Day International Webinar was organized by the Dept. of Education and IQAC Govt. T. Romana College on the theme ‘Capacity development of skills for work and life’
on 16th ,17th and 18th February 2022. The webinar was organized through Google Meet, with 186 registrations. Participants were from final year/passed out students of Education department, research scholars and faculties from different colleges /institutions.
The first night of webinar was chaired by Mr Lalhmachhuana, Associate Professor, Department of Education, GTRC. Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, Principal GTRC and patron of the webinar delivered a brief welcome speech. The resource person Prof. Lallianzuali Fanai, IASE presented a paper on ‘Strategies for entering the teaching profession: preschool stage to higher education’.
Dr. L.V Zodinpuii, Associate professor, Department of Education, GTRC chaired the second night of webinar and the following two papers were presented.
1. Significance of language skills for upward mobility - Lalduhawmi Thomte Dy Director, SCERT
2. Transforming life towards integrity and harmony through education - Mrs. Baby Lalramsiami & Dr K. Sarah, Department of Education, Govt T.Romana College
The third and final night of webinar was conducted by Rosy Lalrinsangi, Associate professor, Department of Education, GTRC and following papers were presented.
1. Identifying career opportunities in Mizo youth, how do I get there? presented by Sylvine Lalnunhlimi, junior scientist, Kings College, U.K.
2. Careers development on skills and employability and empowerment focusing within Mizoram - Lalhriatpuia Khenglawt, Managing Director, Inspire Management Group, U.K.
To close the webinar programme, Mr. CVL Tlanhlua, Department of Public Administration and Coordinator of IQAC, Govt’ T. Romana College gave a brief concluding remarks and vote of thanks.The Department of Education, Govt. T Romana College sincerely thanked all the resource persons, Principal and faculties of Govt. T Romana College for their participation throughout the webinar.
Awareness campaign on the harmful effects of fire crackers was organised on 11.2.2022 at RUSA Conference Hall, Govt. T. Romana College. The event was organised by IQAC and Eco Club, Govt. T. Romana College. Posters were put up in different places at Republic Vengthlang, Aizawl. Super Model Nuni Rualhleng was invited as the Star Campaigner.
One week training on two courses namely ‘Bee Keeping’ and ‘Post Harvest Processing and Packages of Fruits and Vegetables’ was successfully organized during 25th January - 1st February, 2022 at Govt.T.Romana College Training Hall, Republic Vengthlang, Aizawl. The training was organised by Mizoram KVI Board in association with Entrepreneurship Knowledge Cell, Govt.T.Romana College, State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI), Mizoram and National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE).
These training courses were organized under Skill Training of Rural Youth (STRY) programme. Students of Govt.T.Romana College were selected to attend these training courses. For each courses 15 students were selected to undergo the training and all of them successfully completed the training courses.
Certificates were given to the trainees after completion of the courses.
The Govt. T. Romana College Felicitation Program 2021 was organised with strict adherance to the SOP guidelines laid down by the Govt. of Mizoram on 26th August 2021 at RUSA Hall. The program was presided over by Miss Rosy Lalrinsangi. Mr. Zonunsanga Khiangte, President of Mizoram Journalist Association graced the function as Chief Guest. Since the program could not be organised last year due to the Covid 19 pandemic, meritorious students who had passed out in the past year i.e. 2020 were felicitated as well.

As per MZU Notification dated 9th July 2021, the new Academic Session for 2021-2022 started today. However, due to the current Covid-19 pandemic situation in the State, offline classes could not be conducted. The College authority issued notification with regard to conduct of Online Classes. Routine for Online classes had already been notified by the Academic Committee of the College. Orientation programme for fresh students was conducted today through Cisco Webex platform while Orientation programme for 3rd Semester students is also scheduled to be conducted on 28th July 2021.
For the Session of 2021-2022, fresh admission and re-admission was conducted during the month of June and July by the Admission Committee through online mode.
2nd & 4th Semester students of Govt. T.Romana College are informed to apply for re-admission to 3rd and 5th Semester respectively. Re-admission will be opened during 6th to 16th July, 2021 and re-admission fees will have to be paid through STATE BANK COLLECT (user guide). In view of the ongoing covid-19 pandemic only students who are unable to pay through SBI Collect may pay their fees in the College counter during office hour. SOP and CAB will be maintained strictly within and around the campus. Matter relating to change of Core subject may be brought before the HoD of the concerned departments.

The following 2nd List of applicants are selected for admission to 1st Semester B.A. at Govt. T. Romana College.These applicants must finalise their admission on or before 4th July, 2021, failing which their seat will be automatically cancelled.
