Mr. K. Vanlalvena, MP (Rajya Sabha) delivered a Special lecture on Integration in a Diversified Nation: A Parliamentarian’s Perspective organized by IQAC, Govt. T. Romana College on October 11, 2022 at Library Building.

The session was chaired by Mr. CVL Tlanhlua, Coordinator, IQAC and Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, Principal gave a welcome speech with a short introduction on the college and its activities. A humble gift was presented to the Speaker by Dr. Vanlalchami, Asst. Coordinator.

The Speaker Mr. K. Vanlalvena M.P. delivered a lecture starting from his personal life experience from a humble background and encouraged the student to aim higher and never to yield but to fight for their goals. He shared his experience in the Parliament where different member across the nation gathered as the representatives of different community, colour, race, etc. Each member work for the people they represents at the same time they have to build stronger integration for the diversified nation. Mr. Vena believed that Mizo nationalism should be unified, accommodative and tolerant.

After the lecture, the session was opened for interaction in which the students interacted with the Speaker asking diverse questions. The Speaker then answered the questions raised by the student and he was happy to interact with the young minds. The programme had been concluded with a vote of thanks from Mrs. Baby Lalremsiami highly appreciating the Speaker for accepting the invitation in the midst of his busy schedule.

The Special lecture was attended by the 5th Semester student of Political Science, and the 1st Semester Student who have opted Political Science as their elective subject.
