On August 8, 2022 the team of Research, Innovations and Extension Cell of Govt. T. Romana College had visited Sialsuk village and made a verbal agreement with the Village Council for adoption of their village by the College. The college Cell had been led by Prof. Malsawmliana, Chairman of the Cell along with Dr. Benjamin Ralte, Dr. Lalchhuanmawia, Mrs. Dorothy Zonunsangi and Dr. Vanlalchami. The Village Council of Sialsuk Village was led by Mr. R. Lalruatkima, Village Council President. After a thorough discussion between the two teams, it was tentatively agreed that the formal inaugural function of ‘Adopted Village’ will be organized on August 26, 2022 at the village. The Research Cell in its meeting on May 17, 2022 had resolved Sialsuk village as study area for adopted village project.
On August 5, 2022, the Eco Club of Govt. T. Romana College organized plantation of orchids in the campus garden to enrich the biodiversity of the campus. Some variety of orchids had been donated by Mr. R. Lalremliana, Chairman of the Club and Dr. Benjamin Ralte, Dept. of History. With the new addition, there are more than ten varieties of orchids. At present, within the campus, there are more than 40 species of plants being identified.
On August 1, 2022 Anti-Tobacco Awareness Programme had been jointly organized at the college campus by National Tobacco Control Programme, Mizoram and Anti-Tobacco Cell, Govt. T. Romana College. The programme had been organized in two parallel sessions. On the first Session, Mrs. Dorothy Zonunsangi, Secretary Anti-Tobacco Cell, GTRC was the chairperson and Dr. C. Lalremruati, District Consultant, Aizawl East, National Tobacco Control Programme was the resource person. In the other session Dr. Joseph K Lalfakzuala was the chairperson and Ms. Rebecca Lalruatfeli Hnamte, Psychologist, Aizawl East, National Tobacco Control Programme, Mizoram was the resource person.
In the two sessions, both the resource person delivered lecture on the harmful impact on the use and abuse of tobacco, affecting our health and our environment. They shared their personal experience on the various encounters they had on the misuse of tobacco in our society. They urged the student to be free from tobacco. The participants also pledge for anti-tobacco campaign. The college welcomes the programme and highly appreciated the effort given by of the National Tobacco Control Programme. More than 300 students attended the programme. National Tobacco Control Programme, Mizoram decided to organized more programme on anti-tobacco campaign in the near future at GTRC. The College has been declared ‘tobacco free campus’.
On July 29, 2022 GTRC Students’ Union election was held at the college campus. Important dates for SU election was notified on July 19, 2022 by Mr. R. D. Lalsanglura, Returning Officer. Filling of nomination was opened from 20 to 25th July, 2022 and last date for withdrawal of nomination was valid till 3:00 P.M., July 26, 2022. Scrutiny for nomination was held on July 27, 2022 and Delivery of election speech was held at the campus on July 28. Then votes were cast by the bonofied student on July 29 till 2:00 P.M. Then the counting of votes was started from 3:30 P.M. on the election day. Dr. Thanghmingliana, Ms. Lalmawizuali Khiante and Mr. Lalnunsanga were the Polling Officers. The Department of Public Administration. Government T.Romana college observed 'World Social Work Day' on 16th March 2026, 2:00 pm at GTRC Public Administration Department Room. The resource person was Dr. Lalchhuanmawii, Associate Professor, Govt. T. Romana College. The programme was hosted by Dr.Sakhawliana, Faculty in the department of Public Administration.

On 18th March, 2026, the NSS and NCC Unit of Govt. T. Romana College and Army Recruiting Agency, Aizawl organised Career Guidance for Indian Army at RUSA Hall of Govt T. Romana college, Aizawl.

The college and the Yummy food Ltd. jointly organised Dancing, Eating and Cos play Competition in the college. Mika of 6th Semester won the Dance Battle. Cos play competition was won by Philip Lalremtluanga & Ruthi Ramengmawii

On the occasion of World Poetry Day, the Department of English, in collaboration with the Literature Club, organised a poetry-writing competition. The results of the competition were declared on 20th March 2026. The results are as follows:
First Prize: Ruthi Ramengmawii, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics. Second Prize: Gaby Zobiakhlui Sailo, 6th Semester, Department of Sociology. Third Prize: H. Lallawmawmi, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics

A Two Days Seminar on Unity and Integrity through Culture was organised by IQAC of the college under the PM-USHA scheme where the key note Speaker was Mr.PC Zosangliana and the members of the NGO of Republic Vengthlang actively participated in it. Republic Veng the locality in which the college is located.The Thingsiri Cultural club of the college also presented a practical session of cultural Dances of the state
