Govt. T. Romana College observed World Entrepreneurs Day. The Resource Person for the session was Mrs. R.Lalhnehpuii
A programme was organised at the basket ball court of the College on 14th August, 2023.The National flag was hoisted which was followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Dr.Sakhawliana led the pledge taking and a speech was delivered by the principal, Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets.
Govt. T. Romana College on May 31st, 2023 organised Farewell cum Graduation Dinner for the outgoing final semester at Woodland Hills, Zonuam. In the formal programme the MCs were Mrs. Catherine Lalhruaitluangi, Asso. Prof. and Mr. Lalnunsanga, Asst. Prof. Mr. CVL Tlanhlua, Asso. Prof. graced the function with Bible reading and prayers. Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, Principal gave a formal speech to the gathering. She opened her speech with an appreciation to the student for being part of the college community and told the student to be the torch bearer of the college with hard work and honesty. On behalf of the staff of the college, Mr. C. Laldinsanga delivered a farewell speech asking the student to live with determination and tolerance in their future and, to be become a responsible citizen. At present there are 1498 students enrolled in the college out of which 453 students are in the final semester.
All the graduating students were given gift and memento by their respective Head of the Department. The student of the eight departments takes their moment on the stage giving one last special items as a student. After the formal session was over, photo session was held at the rooftop, which was followed by a fare well dinner. After the dinner, informal session was organised by the college music society at the rooftop.
The organizing committee deeply thanks all the outgoing students who took part in the events, the physical support of the Student Union, all the office staffs with their collaborations, the teaching staffs who were entrusted with different duties, and the Principal for her tireless support.
Dr. Benjamin Ralte was the Chairman of the organising committee, Mrs. Lalremmawii, Secretary and Lalngaihawmi, Treasurer. Other organising members includes Dr. Lalchhuanmawii, Mrs. Baby Lalremsiami, Mr. Lalnunzira and Dr. Sakhawliana.
FRESH ADMISSION:
Govt T. Romana College opens admission to 1st Semester for the year 2023 from 22 May to 9 June, 2023. Direct admission is offered to candidates securing II Division and above in HSSLC Examination, 2023 on First Come, First Serve Basis. Admission can be done both in Online and Offline Modes in every working day during office hour. College Prospectus and Admission Form is available at Office Counter. Since NEP 2020 is going to be implemented from July,2023 session, candidates may face problems and confusions in admission process. Subject combination offered by the College may also need to be explained to the candidates. Therefore, Help Desk is set up with Professors on duty to help and guide candidates. READMISSION:
Readmission to 3rd Semester and 5th Semester will be done purely in Offline mode.
1. For 3rd Semester Readmission can be done during 15th May, 2023 – 14th June, 2023 in every working day during office hour. For late admission, a fine of Rs. 50/- per working day will be imposed.
2. For 5th Semester:
a) Students who wish to change core subject must apply in prescribed form and get permission from HODs of their present core and new core subjects.
b) Readmission to 5th Semester can be done during 27th May, 2023-14th June,2023 in every working day during office hour.
c) For late admission, a fine of Rs. 50/- per working day will be imposed.
The Department of Public Administration. Government T.Romana college observed 'World Social Work Day' on 16th March 2026, 2:00 pm at GTRC Public Administration Department Room. The resource person was Dr. Lalchhuanmawii, Associate Professor, Govt. T. Romana College. The programme was hosted by Dr.Sakhawliana, Faculty in the department of Public Administration.

On 18th March, 2026, the NSS and NCC Unit of Govt. T. Romana College and Army Recruiting Agency, Aizawl organised Career Guidance for Indian Army at RUSA Hall of Govt T. Romana college, Aizawl.

The college and the Yummy food Ltd. jointly organised Dancing, Eating and Cos play Competition in the college. Mika of 6th Semester won the Dance Battle. Cos play competition was won by Philip Lalremtluanga & Ruthi Ramengmawii

On the occasion of World Poetry Day, the Department of English, in collaboration with the Literature Club, organised a poetry-writing competition. The results of the competition were declared on 20th March 2026. The results are as follows:
First Prize: Ruthi Ramengmawii, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics. Second Prize: Gaby Zobiakhlui Sailo, 6th Semester, Department of Sociology. Third Prize: H. Lallawmawmi, 2nd Semester, Department of Economics

A Two Days Seminar on Unity and Integrity through Culture was organised by IQAC of the college under the PM-USHA scheme where the key note Speaker was Mr.PC Zosangliana and the members of the NGO of Republic Vengthlang actively participated in it. Republic Veng the locality in which the college is located.The Thingsiri Cultural club of the college also presented a practical session of cultural Dances of the state
