The Govt. T. Romana College Felicitation Program 2021 was organised with strict adherance to the SOP guidelines laid down by the Govt. of Mizoram on 26th August 2021 at RUSA Hall. The program was presided over by Miss Rosy Lalrinsangi. Mr. Zonunsanga Khiangte, President of Mizoram Journalist Association graced the function as Chief Guest. Since the program could not be organised last year due to the Covid 19 pandemic, meritorious students who had passed out in the past year i.e. 2020 were felicitated as well.

A special award with certificate was given to Martin Lalthuamluaia, Department of Sociology for being the 9th rank holder in the Mizoram University Examination 2020.This award was specially donated by the Principal and the faculty of the department of Sociology.

As per MZU Notification dated 9th July 2021, the new Academic Session for 2021-2022 started today. However, due to the current Covid-19 pandemic situation in the State, offline classes could not be conducted. The College authority issued notification with regard to conduct of Online Classes. Routine for Online classes had already been notified by the Academic Committee of the College. Orientation programme for fresh students was conducted today through Cisco Webex platform while Orientation programme for 3rd Semester students is also scheduled to be conducted on 28th July 2021.
For the Session of 2021-2022, fresh admission and re-admission was conducted during the month of June and July by the Admission Committee through online mode.
2nd & 4th Semester students of Govt. T.Romana College are informed to apply for re-admission to 3rd and 5th Semester respectively. Re-admission will be opened during 6th to 16th July, 2021 and re-admission fees will have to be paid through STATE BANK COLLECT (user guide). In view of the ongoing covid-19 pandemic only students who are unable to pay through SBI Collect may pay their fees in the College counter during office hour. SOP and CAB will be maintained strictly within and around the campus. Matter relating to change of Core subject may be brought before the HoD of the concerned departments.

5th Semester: Rs 2,150/-
The following 2nd List of applicants are selected for admission to 1st Semester B.A. at Govt. T. Romana College.These applicants must finalise their admission on or before 4th July, 2021, failing which their seat will be automatically cancelled. Admission fee of Rs. 2550/- may be paid online through - SBI COLLECT

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1. Admission fee: Rs 2550/-
2. In order to avoid being infected with or spreading Covid-19, students are encouraged to pay the admission fee online through - SBI COLLECT. (You can view the SBI Collect user guide here). However, students having genuine difficulty in online payment may pay their admission fee in the College while strictly following the Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB).

Mr. Lalengmawia, IAS, the Commissioner of Higher and Technical Education, paid a visit to Govt. T. Romana College on May 13, 2025. The Commissioner was accompanied by some officials from the Secretariat and the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education. A brief meeting was held in the Meeting Hall to extend a warm welcome to the Commissioner and his team. The meeting was chaired by Mr. R. Lalremliana, Vice-Principal of Government T. Romana College, who welcomed the Commissioner and the other officials and provided a brief overview of the College’s history.
6th semester students of the department of Public Administration, Govt T.Romana College attended training on Suntainable Life Skill: Rural Development Schemes at the SIRD&PR Auditorium on 4th April, 2025.
In the Rope Access Challenge organised by Sports and Youth Services Department on 5th and 6th June,2025, over 10 registered clubs participated and the Kings Youth Adventure Club of Govt T. Romana college won 3rd position.
On May 21, 2025, the department honoured the 6th Semester topper in the 2nd Continuous Test (2nd CAT) and hosted a final meeting for the outgoing students. A total of 24 students attended the programme. The primary goal of felicitation for meritorious students was to recognise and celebrate academic brilliance among students who have done well in the Internal Test.
The college observed Green Day on 10.6.2025 by planting saplings in the college campus.
Govt .T. Romana college students on study tour perform social work on 9.6.2025 to clean their lodging place, the Mizoram House complex at Shillong, Meghalaya .
