The Pearl Jubilee (30th year) of the College was celebrated at the college with a cake cutting ceremony followed by a Session on Professional Ethics on 6th June, 2022. The session was chaired by Mrs. Ramdinliani, cake was cut by the principal and the senior most faculty, Dr.Lalchhuanmawii. The principal, Dr.Jenifer Lalbiakdiki spoke on the topic, "Professional Ethics and Healthy Working Atmosphere". 30 members attended the session which was concluded with a thanksgiving prayer offered by Prof.Malsawmliana. Lunch was served in celebration of the Pearl Jubilee. In observation of the Foundation Day, student and staff that were on a study tour to Shillong, carried out social work by cleaning the Shillong,Mizoram House compound in the morning on 1.6.2022.
World No Tobacco Day was observed by Govt. T. Romana College and Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Custom Department, GOI on 31.05.2022. A two-kilometer Walkathlon was organised where 50 students from the College and 30 staff from Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Custom Department participated. In a brief programme before the Walkathlon, Mr Lalhmingmawia IRS, Additional Commissioner advised the students to refrain from consuming tobacco. Mr R. Lalremliana, Associate Professor and HoD Department of Economics also highlighted the adverse effects of tobacco and stressed the importance of physical exercise for mental and physical well being.
Student Support, Progress & Implementation Cell of Govt. T. Romana College organised Finishing School 2022 for the outgoing students at the College on 26 May, 2022. The Principal, Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki welcomed all the resource persons and the graduating students. The programme was organised in a parallel sessions. First session was organised for students trying to pursue Civil service and Law as their career. The session was chaired by Dr. Vanlalchami, Asst. Coordinator IQAC. In this session, the first resource person – Lalhmingmawia Ralte IRS, Add. Commissioner CGST and member of Mizoram Youth Commission delivered motivational speech for civil service aspirants and the initiative taken by the MYA. The other resource person Lalchhunga Asst. Public Prosecutor Aizawl District gave inspiring speech on ‘legal literacy and its benefits’ and law as a career.
In the other session, R. Lalremliana, Chairman of Student Support, Progress & Implementation Cell chaired the session. The resource person Capt. Lalrengpuia. Commandant, CTI, Mizoram Home Guards & Civil Defence delivered a lecture on ‘why and how to join the forces”. The college NCC wing and students aspiring to choose force as their career joined this session. Both the sessions have been followed by interective sessions which helps qnd benefited the students. CLV Tlanhlua delivered vote of thanks to all the participants and for the fruitful interaction of the resource persons with the students.
6th semester students of the department of Public Administration, Govt T.Romana College attended training on Suntainable Life Skill: Rural Development Schemes at the SIRD&PR Auditorium on 4th April, 2025.
Following up of the Memorandum of Understading on Faculty and Students Exchange programme signed between Department of Public Adminstration Govt. T. Romana College and Department of Public Administration Pachhunga University College, a 3rd 'Faculty and Student Exchange Programme' was successfully organised on the 28th March 2025.
The Department of English, Govt. T. Romana College organised ‘Awareness on NEP 2020 for 4th and 6th Semester Parents’ on April 9, 2025. The programme was attended by 42 parents of the 2nd and 4th Semesters NEP students. The primary objective of the programme was to familiarise parents of the NEP students with the key aspects of the National Education Policy 2020, along with the new subject combinations offered under NEP.
The Awareness programme commenced at 1:00 pm. The Chairperson, Dr. Lalrinmawii Tochhawng, Associate Professor, Department of English started the programme with an introduction of the faculty members in the Department of English. She welcomed parents from different corners of Mizoram and further emphasised the importance of understanding the NEP 2020 and its impact on higher education.
Govt. T. Romana College Thingsiri Cultural club put a spectacular perfornance of Mizo Cultural Dance at the Grand Octave 2025 at Jharkand on 25.03.2025.
The Thingsiri cultural club of the college were invited to perform at the National Tribal Youth Festival 2025 organised by the Social welfare Department, Government of Mizoram at Kelsih on 10.4.2025 where their performance was highly appreciated.
On 26th March, 2025 two faculty members Dr. Lalchhuanmawii and Dr. Lalngaihawmi participated in Awareness Programme on Sexual Harassment of Women at Work-place Act 2013 at Dawrpui Multipurpose Centre, Aizawl.
