In compliance to the Govt Orders to Observe Mimkut on 30.9.2024. the faculty and staff of the college wore traditional attire to the college and shared with eachother the traditional Mizo delicacy 'chhangban' to revive the spirit of sharing and selflessness.
On September 3 and 26, 2024 the Anti-Ragging Cell, Govt. T. Romana College organised anti-ragging awareness programme to educate the students about the evils of ragging. The first event was conducted in the College Girls Hostel where professors in-charge of Anti-Ragging Cell gave speech and interacted with the students. The second event which took place on September 26 was held in the classrooms. The students committed themselves to refrain from any act of ragging and ensure a ragging-free environment in the Institutution.
Govt. T. Romana College conducted an awareness campaign on Swachta Hi Seva 2024 at the College campus on 26.09.2024. Social work to clean dark spot areas was conducted on 25.09.2024. Swachta Hi Seva is a nationwide initiative of the government to create an environment of cleanliness in the entire country.
On the occasion of "Intensified IEC Campaign on India's Fight against HIV/Aids" organised by District AIDS Prevention and Control Committee on 25th September, 2024 at Vanapa Hall, and in fulfillment of the request received from the office of the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Aizawl, Govt. T. Romana College organised an educational event by setting up a stall to spread awareness for the prevention of HIV and STI and to promote healthy life skills to the public. Under the initiatives taken by the College committee for this occasion, several items such as condoms, clean syringes and booklets were disseminated to the public. The Committee comprises of the Principal, Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, Ms Baby Lalramsiami, Associate Professor, C. Zirsangliana,Assistant Professor, Mr Lalrinhlua Zadeng, IT Consultant, Zorammawii, SU member and 6 master volunteers from the students. The College Dance Club also participated in the Flash Mob Dance Competition for college students and were placed second in the Competition. The programme concluded with a resounding success with the College efficiently fulfilling its duties as an institution of progressive and quality education in the state.
Mr. Lalengmawia, IAS, the Commissioner of Higher and Technical Education, paid a visit to Govt. T. Romana College on May 13, 2025. The Commissioner was accompanied by some officials from the Secretariat and the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education. A brief meeting was held in the Meeting Hall to extend a warm welcome to the Commissioner and his team. The meeting was chaired by Mr. R. Lalremliana, Vice-Principal of Government T. Romana College, who welcomed the Commissioner and the other officials and provided a brief overview of the College’s history.
6th semester students of the department of Public Administration, Govt T.Romana College attended training on Suntainable Life Skill: Rural Development Schemes at the SIRD&PR Auditorium on 4th April, 2025.
In the Rope Access Challenge organised by Sports and Youth Services Department on 5th and 6th June,2025, over 10 registered clubs participated and the Kings Youth Adventure Club of Govt T. Romana college won 3rd position.
On May 21, 2025, the department honoured the 6th Semester topper in the 2nd Continuous Test (2nd CAT) and hosted a final meeting for the outgoing students. A total of 24 students attended the programme. The primary goal of felicitation for meritorious students was to recognise and celebrate academic brilliance among students who have done well in the Internal Test.
The college observed Green Day on 10.6.2025 by planting saplings in the college campus.
