
On December 10, 2024, the Evangelical Union of Govt T. Romana College visited Hermon Children's Home to celebrate Christmas. As a gesture of goodwill, a donation of ₹10,000, along with sweets and clothing, was presented to the Home's Mother, Mrs. Tanteii.
Principal Dr. Jenifer delivered a brief speech and offered a prayer, supported by EU Adviser Miss Baby Lalramsiami. EU office bearers, including Leader Hriata, Secretary Rinhlui, and Assistant Secretary LKa, along with students, participated in the event.
Hermon Children's Home, originally known as ZEF, was established around 1979. Currently, it provides care for 49 children.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Government T. Romana College observed ‘The International Day of Persons with Disabilities’ on the 3rd December 2024 (Tuesday). During this event, Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, the Principal of Govt. T. Romana College officially inaugurated ramps specifically designed for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) on the College Campus. The inaugural function was attended by the IQAC Coordinators, faculty members, office staff and students.
In her address, the Principal emphasised the College’s commitment to the welfare of Persons with Disabilities, which led to the construction of the Ramp. She also hoped that the newly inaugurated ramp would provide a convenient and comfortable pathway for PWD. Furthermore, the Principal urged the students to recognise that disability is not a choice and encouraged them to refrain from discrimination or disdain towards individuals with disabilities. Besides, the Principal donated a sum of Rs.2000 for spastic children from the proceeds of her recently published books.

Govt. T. Romana College & Dept. of Social Welfare & Tribal Affairs, Govt. Of Mizoram organised GTRC FEST & CULTURAL DAY on October 30, 2024 at College Campus. The theme of the event is 'Aia Upa zah & Kum Upate duat'. The event had been co-sponsored by Zote Honda & RB Impression, Zarkawt. On this occasion, College Health Cell, IQAC organised free clinic for the elders and the students of the college.
Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, Principal delivered welcome speech and said that the elder are the treasure of the Mizo nation and torch bearer of the society. She also said that honouring and giving respect to our elder is part of the Mizo ethos and it will bring blessing to the generations to come. She reminded the students to always remember the quotes from Ecclessiates 12:1 'Remember your Creator in the days of your youth'.

In this event, national and state level awardee Thingsiri Cultural Club performed cultural dances. The Music society led the performance on various songs. Lalsangliana LBS Youth Icon has graced the event by performing his iconic songs.

On October 30, 2024, Govt. T. Roman College organized a Free Health Clinic in the College campus. The clinic hosted two doctors, Dr. Ruatdika and Dr. Sawmteii, along with a nurse named Puipuii. The clinic was arranged especially for elderly individuals from the college locality, Republic Vengthlang, as well as students of the College. Despite being held only during the forenoon, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the clinic saw 55 clients. The doctors were attentive and took the time to listen carefully to each client's health concerns, allowing clients to openly discuss their ailments with both the doctors and nurse. Thanks to the principal's tireless efforts, the Health Cell of the college was able to distribute quality medicines to the clients. The team felt a sense of pride in providing a variety of effective medications to those in need. The clinic concluded successfully. The day also marked the College Fest and Cultural Day, and in the afternoon, Health and Medical Cell members enjoyed the festivities, with many wearing traditional attire.
The Department of Public Administration. Government T.Romana college observed 'World Social Work Day' on 16th March 2026, 2:00 pm at GTRC Public Administration Department Room. The resource person was Dr. Lalchhuanmawii, Associate Professor, Govt. T. Romana College. The programme was hosted by Dr.Sakhawliana, Faculty in the department of Public Administration.

The college Felicitation committee organised a programme on 11.03.2026 to felicitate students who did well in the the 2025 0dd Semester Under graduate Examination.
The Women Cell/ Internal Complaint cell organised a seminar/ workshop on the same day and the next ie. 12.03.2026 on the topic 'Gender Equity and Sensitisation' under the PM - USHA scheme. The resource persons who spoke on the topic were Dr.Lalchhuanmawii and Mrs. Ramdinliani

On 18th March, 2026, the NSS and NCC Unit of Govt. T. Romana College and Army Recruiting Agency, Aizawl organised Career Guidance for Indian Army at RUSA Hall of Govt T. Romana college, Aizawl.

The college and the Yummy food Ltd. jointly organised Dancing, Eating and Cos play Competition in the college. Mika of 6th Semester won the Dance Battle. Cos play competition was won by Philip Lalremtluanga & Ruthi Ramengmawii

On the occasion of World Poetry Day, the Department of English, in collaboration with the Literature Club, organised a poetry-writing competition. The results of the competition were declared on 20th March 2026. The results are as follows:

A Two Days Seminar on Unity and Integrity through Culture was organised by IQAC of the college under the PM-USHA scheme where the key note Speaker was Mr.PC Zosangliana and the members of the NGO of Republic Vengthlang actively participated in it. Republic Veng the locality in which the college is located.The Thingsiri Cultural club of the college also presented a practical session of cultural Dances of the state
