The Eco Club of Govt. T. Romana College observed World Ozone Day on September 14, 2022. The Eco Club organized a brief programme two days in advance as the College had been allocated for examination centre by MSSSB on 15th and 16th Sept., 2022. In the function Lalnuntluangi, Secretary of the Club chaired the session and Dr. Lalchhuanmawia, Associate Prof. in the Dept. of Economics, GTRC and President of Mizoram Economic Society was the resources person and he gave a lecture on the theme “Global Cooperation Protecting Life on Earth”. On this occasion the participant had taken a pledge on ‘Ozone Layer Protection’. The observation of the World Ozone Day was initiated in collaboration with Mizoram State Pollution Control Board.
Govt. T. Romana College Students’ Union had organized annual college week 2022 from 19 to 23 September 2022. The week opening had been chaired by Malsawmkima, Vice President SU and it was inaugurated by Dr. Jenifer Lalbiakdiki, Principal and President of the Students’ Union at R. Dengthuama Hall, ITI. The students were divided into four houses – Red, Yellow, Blue and Green. Various items had been organized at different venues across the city. College Miss and Mister Contest had been held on 22nd Sept. at Electric Veng Hall. After various round of contestation the judges declared the following as the winners -

The closing ceremony was held at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on 23rd September, followed by a light entertainment at the college campus organized by the Music Society under Mr. Lalhmachhuana.
Govt. T. Romana College observes Valentine's Day as a tradition by organising an awareness campaign among students to abstain from pre-marital sex, promote Celibacy until marriage and reach out to the needy. The college also organises a Blood Donation camp at times. This year on 14.2.23 the college organised an awareness campaign on the same topic and also organised a Charity Drive with the help of the Music Society of the college . The money collected for the selection of the songs performed by the Music society was distributed among the less privileged families in the locality near the college.
On 23rd February, 2023, a group of 10 students along with two teachers left Aizawl for the Local Immersion Programme for Higher Educational Institutions organised by the Planning & Implementation Department (Research and Development Branch) Govt. of Mizoram. Local Immersion Programme for Higher Educational Institutes aims to not only drive Localization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to the village level by leveraging the knowledge of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) but also to empower the youth to make a difference through youth-ideated development initiatives. By simulating problem solving in communities through the lens of progressing towards the SDGs, where students will be given a unique opportunity to learn and hone the skills necessary to lead change.

6th semester students of the department of Public Administration, Govt T.Romana College attended training on Suntainable Life Skill: Rural Development Schemes at the SIRD&PR Auditorium on 4th April, 2025.
Following up of the Memorandum of Understading on Faculty and Students Exchange programme signed between Department of Public Adminstration Govt. T. Romana College and Department of Public Administration Pachhunga University College, a 3rd 'Faculty and Student Exchange Programme' was successfully organised on the 28th March 2025.
The Department of English, Govt. T. Romana College organised ‘Awareness on NEP 2020 for 4th and 6th Semester Parents’ on April 9, 2025. The programme was attended by 42 parents of the 2nd and 4th Semesters NEP students. The primary objective of the programme was to familiarise parents of the NEP students with the key aspects of the National Education Policy 2020, along with the new subject combinations offered under NEP.
The Awareness programme commenced at 1:00 pm. The Chairperson, Dr. Lalrinmawii Tochhawng, Associate Professor, Department of English started the programme with an introduction of the faculty members in the Department of English. She welcomed parents from different corners of Mizoram and further emphasised the importance of understanding the NEP 2020 and its impact on higher education.
Govt. T. Romana College Thingsiri Cultural club put a spectacular perfornance of Mizo Cultural Dance at the Grand Octave 2025 at Jharkand on 25.03.2025.
The Thingsiri cultural club of the college were invited to perform at the National Tribal Youth Festival 2025 organised by the Social welfare Department, Government of Mizoram at Kelsih on 10.4.2025 where their performance was highly appreciated.
On 26th March, 2025 two faculty members Dr. Lalchhuanmawii and Dr. Lalngaihawmi participated in Awareness Programme on Sexual Harassment of Women at Work-place Act 2013 at Dawrpui Multipurpose Centre, Aizawl.
